Joe Bunting Scholarship

Honouring his dedication to and active involvement in ORBA’s training and education activities, the Joe Bunting Scholarship is awarded annually to a student attending an Ontario college and entering their final year of a Civil Engineering Technology/Technician program.

Joe Bunting was known for his dedication to the training and education of young people in the industry. Joe served as Chair of ORBA’s Education Committee from the late 1990s through to the mid-2000s. He was a champion of the ‘Civil Construction Management Education Series’ which was a joint program run out of Ryerson University. Joe was also a significant supporter of the Road Building Academy concept and took an active interest and role curriculum development, interviewing and selecting instructors and opening courses in person at Ryerson. Joe worked in management for Warren Paving most of his career, moving to Miller Paving in his final work years.
