Release of the 2025 Ontario Highways Program (OHP)
As of August 1st 2025, the MTO released the 2025 Ontario Highways Program (OHP).
OHP provides information on highway expansion and rehabilitation projects that are planned or underway in communities across the province through different formats, including an interactive map and sortable tables found here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontarios-highway-programs
From April 2025 to March 2026, the Ontario government is committing about $4.3 billion to repair and expand provincial highways and bridges. This includes construction funding of almost $2.1 billion in southern Ontario and almost $583 million in Northern Ontario. These investments in our highway network will:
Additionally, the Northern and Southern Highways Program, lists highway construction projects that are planned or underway in Northern or Southern Ontario. All expansion projects with committed construction funding are identified, including upcoming expansion with target completion dates to be determined. The rehabilitation program is focused on the years 2025 to 2028.
