Town celebrates as trestle re-opens as toll bridge

For the first time in two years, residents of Iroquois Falls were able to cross the trestle bridge to reach the northern side of the Abitibi River.

Since the bridge was closed due to structural concerns in 2014, anyone looking to hunt, camp, ATV, or pick blueberries in the wilderness on the far side of the river needed to drive all the way to Cochrane to get to the nearest river crossing.
